Alexia GodronConference Coordinator, Washington International SchoolVictor Hugo once said, "There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come." That is what GIN does, it creates the time for your ideas to come to life. I love GIN because it's the future, it is forming the next generation of leaders and activists. My name is Alexia Godron, and I'm a senior at Washington International School. I've been organizing GIN for the past three years, and am especially passionate about international relations, policy-making, and environmental issues. My favourite part of GIN is the Art Competition and Exhibit, which I initiated two years ago.

Phoebe ThomasChief of Staff, Washington International SchoolThis year marks my first year of organizing the Global Issues Network Conference, however I am every excited for all the students to take part in what I believe is a brilliant learning experience. We have such a wealth of speakers from numerous backgrounds and this conference truly has what it takes to empower students and teach them on working collaboratively in order to solve global issues, giving them the tools that I am sure today's future leaders will be using in for many years to come. I for one am not a fan of simply looking on when an issue is present, so solving issues even on a local scale is very important to me, which is why the activities and events at GIN are so important for enabling others to act and collaborate with the same passion that all of our GIN Leadership have.

Emma RebourSchool Without WallsMy name is Emma Rebour and I am a senior at School Without Walls. I am 17 years old and have been involved with GIN since the beginning of my junior year. My favorite thing about the conference is seeing so many students from different schools come together and learn from the speakers and NGO's. It is really inspiring and at every conference I learn something new and see something differently. I can't wait for this years conference!

Simone Hinton
Conference Coordinator, School Without WallsMy name is Simone Hinton, I am 17 years old and I am a senior at School Without Walls High School. I joined GIN last year when I was a junior. One of my favorite things about the conference are all the different perspectives that are brought in from the students, along with their eagerness to learn about global issues. Last year I served as a leader and really enjoyed leading team bonding activities and getting feed back from the students. I'm definitely looking forward to this year's conference and the conferences to come.
